Becoming A Nanny

This is the question that a person often asks to himself or herself when they want to sacrifice their life or dedicate their life to the well being of a family or society. All of them cannot become a nanny as such. There are certain formalities to be followed. First, the person should decide to become a nanny. But becoming nanny or being nanny is not an easy job. It is often considered as a fun, money making, rewarding and challenging career. She or he has to work independently. She has to implement the goals and objectives behalf of the children's parent. It means that being nanny is keeping their personal interests aside and to look into more of the family in which they are going to work. There are certifications and training for becoming a nanny.

The nanny must have love for children also have the patience , a lot of energy and creativity. She has to care about the children. It is like more than being a baby sitter. She has to teach them, educate them and guide them. They should take care of children's beauty and behaviour also It requires lot of patience for her as she will feel exhausted physically and emotionally. She must have a good interaction among herself and the family. Apart from this, the nanny must have a driving record also.

The salary of a nanny is always low. But for children lovers the salary does not matter much. For such kind of person, being nanny is a challenging and rewarding role. When we consider the types of nanny there are two types. They are full time and part time nanny. For both, she will be given a regular salary. But there are few who live along with the family itself where they will be given food and a room to stay. The full time nannies usually work 60 hours a week. During these hours she must be patience enough to be with the children she has to spend at least minimum of ten hours continually with the children. It requires a lot of adaptability, flexibility and energy for a nanny to be with children. Their job includes looking after them, preparing food for them and washing and cleaning them.

There are other cases where a nanny working in private, is given licenses where as the nannies working in state government does not require a license. The employers, who adapt nannies, look for a nanny with training though there is no formal education for it. Nanny can apply for post by just answering the advertisement which she comes across or a personal contact. And when she comes to contact them, she must examine the whole family background. And finally she has to register herself with the staffing agency.
